This weekend I had the great pleasure of making a christening cake for my very dear friends baby. As he is described frequently as a little monkey it was very apt to pop a monkey atop his cake!
It was fun making all the bananas too, they are individually made from sugarpaste with brown painted ends. The building blocks are made from sugarpaste too with the letters being edible as well. When we cut the cake up to serve we took all the decorations off, and the cheeky monkey lost an ear! Hence the banana wedged in there instead!
